Cultivating Change at its Roots

The Blackberry Farm Foundation takes pride in supporting charitable causes focused on children and foodways, with a special emphasis on those within our East Tennessee home. Supported by generous donors and sponsors, even our vibrant events, ranging from music concerts to exclusive dinners, are more than just experiences—they are opportunities for real positive change.

How Funds Are Raised

From our annual music concert series to wine and food events with renowned chefs and acclaimed vintners, special gatherings throughout the year at Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain allow us to raise funds that go to support the charities we aid and to operate the Sam Beall Fellows program. Silent and live auctions at exclusive dinners are also sources of funding for the Foundation. These once-in-a-lifetime opportunities offer the chance to fly fish with your favorite celebrity, add an extraordinarily rare bottle of wine to your cellar, or welcome a famous musician as the entertainment for your personal event – with all of the proceeds benefiting carefully reviewed causes and programs. Information about upcoming charitable events can be found in the “Events and Retreats” section of our website.

We are also grateful for generous donors and sponsors who make contributions directly to the Blackberry Farm Foundation. To do so, or for more information, please contact Richard Johnson, the Foundation’s executive director, at rjohnson@blackberryfarm.com.

Distribution Process

The Blackberry Farm Foundation is proud to support charitable causes related to children and foodways, with special emphasis on those located in the East Tennessee area, the special place that is our home. A committee reviews requests, with granting decisions based on multiple considerations, including fit with the scope and mission of the Foundation.
